I paint the seen and unseen world around us. The emergent forms are animate, persevering, and mysterious. In portraying the energy within and surrounding the flowers I want to reveal the spirit that impels them into being and radiates from them.
Art gives meaning and substance to my life. Making a painting helps me figure out my relationship to the world around me. It is a puzzle to be solved and a point of reference. Creating an artwork is a joy and a struggle and ultimately an affirmation of the best in life.
